Located on St. Georges Island in the center of Calgary.
Landmark attractions is Destination Africa with its
TransAlta Rainforest, gorillas, and African savannah habitats.
Another popular attraciton is the "Canadian Wilds" section.
Alsohas a 62 acre prehistoric park with
more then 20 life size dinosaurs. Other displays include Eurasia, Elephant Crossing,
Creature of the Night, a rainforest area, and a butterfly garden.

This 710 acre zoo with about 5000 animals and 460 species
is one of North America's largest zoos. Has been ranked
among the top ten zoos in the world. The four color
colded trails in the zoo include an "round the world"
trail leading to zoo areas featuring six geographic regions:
Indo-Malaya, African Savannah, the Americas, Canadian Domain,
Australasia, and Eurasia.
The zoo has eight indoor pavilions, allowing the zoo
to be open all year long. Zoo tours are available in
the Toronto Zoo "Zoomobile".
