Deer Lake Strawberry Festival

live music, square dancing, a children's parade, games for
all ages, and a grand finale fireworks display. Held in the
town of Deer Lake, usually in July.

George Street Festival

Gros Morne Summer Music Festival
Eclectic arts and music festival featuring musicians, singers,
dancers, actors, and writers. Held at several locations in
Gros Morne National Park and in the city of Corner Brook, usually
in July and August. Includes many different music genres.
Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival
Annual festival held for more then 40 years at Bowring Park
in Saint John's. Usually held in August.
Roots, Rants, and Roars Festival
Annual celebration of the food and culture of
Newfoundland region. Held in Elliston, usually in September.
Saint John's International Women's Film Festival
Multiple-day film festival held in Saint John's,
usually in October. Celebrates women film makers
from all over the world. Features film screenings,
discussion panels, workshops, and a summer film
camp for high school students.

performing on three stages in the downtown district of Saint John's.

Tuckamore Chamber Music Festival
Two week chamber music festival held in Saint John's,
usually in August. Features music performances by
professional classical artists and emerging youth artists.
Winterset in Summer Literary Festival
Annual literary festival held in Eastport, usually in August.
Celebrates the writers of Newfoundland and Labrador through
drama, music, and the visual arts.
Wreckhouse International Jazz and Blues Festival
Annual music festival with performances held in many different
locations in Saint John's, usually in July.
Features performances by musicians from all over the
world, workshops, and cultural events.

Sports Events
Cain's Quest Snowmobile Endurance Race
2500 kilometer snowmobile race held every two years (every even year)
usually in March.
Competitors are teams of two snowmobiles with two riders.
The course begins and ends in Labrador City and passes through
Churchill Falls, Happy Valley, and Goose Bayalong the way.
Royal Saint John's Regatta
Annual rowing regatta held at Quidi Vidi Lake since the 1800's.
Includes a festival with live entertainment and hundreds of
food and game booths. Takes place the first Wednesday in August.
