Grecia Travel Guide
Information for visitors to the town of Grecia in Costa Rica.
Grecia is situated in the Cordillera Central, which is
also known as the Central Mountain Range of Costa Rica.
The town islocated about 27 kilometers northwest
of Alajuela City and about 46 kilometers from Costa Rica's
capital city of San Jose. Grecia is most well known
for being a center of Costa Rican arts and crafts because
it has more than 200 shops selling items such as wooden bowls,
fold-up rocking chairs made of wood and leather,
and elaborately painted oxcarts known as "carretas".
