Louisiana Alligator Farms

Mississippi Alligator Farms

Alligator or Crocodile?
Alligators, caimans, and crocodiles are known collectively as "crocodilians". The main differences between crocodiles and alligators are (1) the shape of the jaw, (2) the teeth, and (3) habitat. Alligator jaws are typically more pointed and crocodile jaws are typically more rounded. Crocodiles have a lower tooth that sticks up over their upper lip when their mouths are closed. Crocodiles are also more likely to live in salt water habitats then alligators.
