Great Plains Tourism Region
Includes the U.S. states of Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma,
North Dakota, and South Dakota. Top attractions in this

Mid Atlantic Tourism Region
Includes the U.S. states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York,
and Pennsylvania.
Midwest Tourism Region
Includes the U.S. states ofIllinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan,
Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
New England Tourism Region
Includes the U.S. states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts,
New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Pacific Northwest Tourism Region
Includes the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington State.
Rocky Mountain Tourism Region
Includes the U.S. states of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Southern Region Tourism Region
Includes the U.S. states of Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky,
Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee,
Virginia, and West Virginia.
Southwest Region Tourism Region
Includes the Ul.s. states of Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah.
Full State Tourism Regions
Alaska Tourism Region
The state of Alaska is sometimes considered part of
the Northwest Region but often it is considered its own
tourism region because it is so large and because it is
geographically separated from most of the other U.S. states.
About 500 miles of Canada lies between Alaska and Washington State.
California Tourism Region
Southern California is sometimes considered part of the Southwest Region
and Northern California is sometimes considered part of the Northwest
Region, but since the state is so large, and because it has so many
popular visitor attractions, it is often considered
its own tourism region.
Florida Tourism Region
Florida is sometimes considered part of the Southern Region,
but because it is so large and because it has so many popular
visitor attractions, it is often considered its own tourism region.
Hawaii Tourism Region
The state of Hawaii is usually considered its own tourism
region because it is geographically separated from most
of the other U.S. states. Hawaii consists of a group
of islands in the Pacific Ocean, about 2,480 miles
southwest of Los Angeles, California.
Texas Tourism Region
Northern Texas is sometimes considered part of the Great Plains Region,
Eastern Texas is sometimes considered part of the Southern
Region, and Western Texas is sometimes considered part of the
Southwest Region. Because the state is so large, and because it has so many
popular visitor attractions, it is often considered
its own tourism region.
