Loreto Travel Guide
Information for visitors to the town of Loreto in
Baja Peninsula state of Baja California Sur.
Between 1997and 1977, Loreto was the capital
of Las Californias (aka the Province of the Californias),
which included all of the Baja Peninsula and the region
that today is the U.S. state of California.
Loreto is situated on the Sea of Cortes,
about 220 miles north of the city of La Paz.
