Yakutat Tern Festival
Annual festival celebrating the Aleutian and Arctic Terns and
highlighting the nature and culture of the Yakutat area.
Festival activities include birding and natural history excursions,
art exhibits, and educational events for all ages.
Jointly presented by the Yakutat Chamber of Commerce, the United States
Forest Service, the United States National Park Service, the City and Borough of Yakutat,
the Yakutat Tlingit Tribe, and local community members and businesses.
Usually held in June.
Yakutat Independence Day Celebration
Annual celebration held on the 4th of July.
Includes an Independence Day Parade, canoe races,
family games, vendor booths, and an evening fireworks display.
Fairweather Day
Annual festival held at anon Beach, usually in August.
Features live music, fresh oysters, food booths, games
such as tug-of-war and beach golf, raffles, a community
dinner and evening fireworks display.
